Hotplates are used in recording studios for better separation between the instruments and for use when the speaker sounds
best at low levels, needs to play at low levels, or if it can't handle the power output. The Hotplate also makes a perfect
dummy load. They can take 185 watts RMS continuous. The attenuation feature allows you to hook a speaker cabinet up to the
load to monitor the signal. The line-out feature allows you to monitor the signal a via a separate amplifier or hi-fi. The
light shows you visually when there is a signal present and how much (relatively). Red colored. 4 Ohms.
